SENTA was the yacht that made long-distance sailing dreams come true — safe, strong, and utterly reliable in all conditions.
SENTA
Once, Senta was the yacht of my dreams. She fulfilled all our wishes for long-distance sailing and cruising along foreign coasts. We sailed her north and south. With the exception of Finland and Poland, we visited all European countries with access to the sea, as well as the northern coast of Africa.
We won prizes. She never disappointed us and proved to be safe and reliable, even in extreme heavy weather. We shared many wonderful years with her.
Unfortunately, when the multihull virus finally struck, I decided to put her up for sale — hoping to make the next sailor just as happy. The broker who assisted us with the sale described her as follows:
Describing SENTA as “just a blue water cruiser” would not do her justice. This ocean-going cruising yacht is built for the ambitious yachtsman who wants to explore areas beyond the usual routes. She is a yacht made to cruise the Seven Seas. I wish the new owner fair winds and many happy miles with her.

An article from ‘Oud Broek.nl’ about Dr. Kees den Hartoog (Dutch)
Inspired by SENTA, Dr. den Hartoog later built a new yacht, four feet longer, named Sentijn. With her he completed a single-handed circumnavigation, with only one stop in Sydney.
